Overview
Evvnt calendars can generate revenue through paid promotion placements (e.g., featured or boosted listings) and, where enabled, ticket sales. The submission and event management flow is designed to surface these optional upgrades to event organizers at the point of entry and when they manage their listings.
What You Sell
Premium Event Promotion
Event organizers who submit or manage events on your calendar are presented with optional paid upgrades. These promotions give their events enhanced visibility through featured placement, carousel positioning, and syndication across the Evvnt network.
Pricing is organized into tiers based on event type — Community, Lifestyle, Entertainment, Professional, and Enterprise. Each tier has different pricing that reflects the typical audience and budget for that category of event.
Subscription Packages
In addition to one-off promotion purchases, organizers may have the option to subscribe to a monthly package that includes multiple premium event slots. This provides recurring revenue and encourages ongoing engagement from active event creators.
Ticket Sales
Where ticketing is enabled, your calendar can also generate revenue through ticket service fees. Ticket sales are handled through the Evvnt ticketing platform and are a separate revenue stream from promotion packages.
How Users Buy
Upgrades are presented to event organizers at two key points:
- During submission — after entering their event details, organizers see available promotion options before completing their submission
- When managing listings — organizers who return to manage their events can upgrade existing listings to premium at any time
Purchases are completed through the self-serve checkout flow. No action is required from your editorial team — the system handles the transaction and applies the promotion automatically.
Direct Sales
In addition to the self-serve online flow, your sales team can sell promotion packages directly to local businesses and event organizers. Direct sales pricing may differ from online pricing, and your sales team can use the Sales CRM tools to manage customer relationships and allocate packages.
Revenue Share
Revenue from promotion sales and ticket fees is shared between you and Evvnt based on your partner agreement. Financial reports are available in your account to track monthly totals, site-by-site breakdowns, and deposit amounts.
Best Practices
Promote your submission URL — the more event organizers who submit events, the more opportunities for paid upgrades. See Submission URL for tips on driving submissions.
Encourage your sales team — direct sales to local businesses can significantly increase revenue alongside the self-serve flow.
Monitor your Activity feed — the Activity Feed shows premium upgrades, helping you track monetization in real time.
