Overview
This article walks you through the full setup process for Premium Print, from gathering the information you'll need to configuring your print pages in the Print tab of your calendar editor section. Once configuration is complete, the system will generate print-ready PDFs and deliver them to your editor's inbox on the schedule you define.
For a broader overview of how Premium Print works and what it can do for your publication, see Premium Print Calendars for Your Publication.

If you have any other specifications for your page — special formatting, additional ad placements, or other custom needs — note these before starting so they can be addressed during setup.
Configuring Print in the Calendar Editor Section
Once print is activated for your publication, the Print tab in your calendar editor section will prompt you through the setup. Configuration has four steps.
Enter Publication Details
Navigate to the Print tab and enter the following:
- Name — The name of your print publication
- Time Zone — Events will be listed using the time of the selected zone
- Calendar URL — Your online events URL, displayed on the print-ready events page
- Town and Country — Your publication's location
- Editors' Email Addresses — The finalized print pages will be delivered to these addresses
- Print Automation — Set to Enabled to activate automated PDF generation and delivery
Click Save Publication Details when finished.
Set Publication Schedule
Select Edit Schedule and configure:
- Date of first edition — When your first print page should be generated
- Print lead time in hours — How far in advance of your deadline the PDF should be delivered
- Schedule Period — Weekly, Fortnightly, or Monthly
- How many days of events to include — The date range each edition covers
Save the settings after entering them. The schedule summary will show your print deadline, event listing window, current edition, and next edition date.
Page Setup
In the page setup section, choose a template for your print page. The template determines the header style, font, layout, and number of pages available. You can set custom page dimensions for any template using inches, millimeters, or pixels.
This section also includes an option to enable QR codes for all featured events. When enabled, each featured event on the print page will include a QR code that links readers directly to the event listing online.
Click Save Page Setup when finished.
Add Regular Artwork
Once you've selected a template, the available artwork slots will appear based on what that template supports. Select Edit Regular Artwork to upload your files. The available slots may include:
- Logo — Your publication's logo for the page header
- Adbar — A horizontal banner ad area
- Ad — A larger ad placement for sponsorship or generic ads
Details for each slot — including required dimensions and file format — are displayed based on your selected template to ensure your uploads will fit properly. Some templates with multiple pages may support more than one ad placement within a single PDF.
Artwork uploaded here becomes your regular artwork — it will be used for every edition by default. You can override artwork for a specific edition using the per-edition Artwork tab. For more on ad options, see Print Ad and Ad-Bar Options.
Editing Your Configuration
You can update any part of your print setup at any time. Navigate to the Print tab in your calendar editor section and select Configuration to access all four setup areas and make changes.
