"Widget" gets used a few different ways in our system, so it helps to know which one someone means before troubleshooting or installing code.
Where to Find the Calendar Widgets
Both the content widget and the full calendar embed code live in the Get Code section of your site admin. Since both are technically "widgets," double-check which code snippet you're copying before you install it.
Content Widget
Most of the time, "widget" refers to the content widget — a small version of your Evvnt calendar that can be placed on any site to send users to your calendar. It shows a handful of upcoming events and links back to your main calendar page. This is what someone may usually be referring to when they ask for "the widget."
Full Calendar Widget
Technically, your full calendar embed code is also a "widget". However, this code is the main, full-size calendar that is required to be placed on a dedicated calendar page on your site.
Event List Widget (Ticketing)
The event list widget is currently only available with Evvnt Ticketing. For ticket sites or ticket-selling organizations, it embeds a live list of your events onto another website and updates automatically as events are added or removed from your ticketing site. To get the Event List code:
- Click the Settings tab in the left navigation
- Locate the "Event List" option and follow the guidance there
