Overview
Every event on your Evvnt ticketing site belongs to an Organization — the entity that hosts the event and sells the tickets. Before any event can be created, an organization must exist to own it. This applies to all events, including any you want to create for yourself. This article covers how organizations work, how to create them, and how self-service signup lets ticket sellers join your site independently.

How Organizations Work
An organization represents a ticket seller on your site — a venue, promoter, nonprofit, or any group hosting events. Organizations are the containers that hold events, and each organization has its own:
- Event listings and ticket sales
- Banking and payout configuration
- Users who can manage that organization's events
- Organization-level reports
A single ticketing site can host many organizations, each managing their own events independently.
Creating an Organization
To manually add an organization to your site:
- Navigate to the Organizations section in the left menu
- Click Create Organization
- Enter the organization's name and details
- Assign a user to manage the organization
Important: If you want to sell tickets for your own events, you must first create an organization for yourself. Your site's Partner Account does not function as an organization — it's an admin role. Create an organization representing your brand, then create events under it.
Self-Service Signup
Self-service signup is built into all Evvnt ticketing sites. Ticket sellers can create their own accounts directly from your site's home page and submit events independently, without you needing to create accounts for them.
When a seller signs up through self-service:
- A new organization is created for them automatically
- They can begin creating events and configuring tickets
- Their events appear on your site once submitted
Self-service organizations have some feature limitations compared to organizations created manually by a site partner. For details on those differences, contact your Evvnt team representative.
Managing Organizations
From the Organizations section, you can view all organizations on your site and access their details. The Organization Management reports under Reports let you review which organizations and users are actively selling tickets.
