Overview
Tickets are the core of your Evvnt ticketing site. This article covers the basics of how tickets are structured, how to create a simple ticket for an event, and the key options available for ticket configuration. For more detailed guides on advanced ticket features, your ticket sellers can refer to the event creator documentation in the Evvnt help center.

How Tickets Are Structured
The Evvnt ticketing system organizes tickets using Ticket Categories. Each category can contain one or more price levels, giving you flexibility in how you offer tickets. For example, a "General Admission" category might have an Early Bird price and a standard price, each with its own availability window.
Creating a Simple Ticket
To create a basic ticket for an event:
- Navigate to the event you want to add tickets to
- Go to the Tickets section of the event
- Click Add Ticket Category
- Enter a category name (e.g. "General Admission")
- Set the price and quantity available
- Save the ticket category
Once saved, the ticket is live and available for purchase on your site. Buyers will see the ticket category name and price on the event page.
Commonly Used Features
Beyond basic ticket creation, there are several features ticket sellers use frequently:
- Multiple price levels — add tiered pricing within a single category, such as early bird and regular pricing with different availability dates
- Quantity limits — control how many tickets a single buyer can purchase in one order
- Ticket descriptions — add details about what's included with a particular ticket type
- Free tickets — set the price to zero for complimentary or RSVP-style events
For detailed walkthroughs of these features and more advanced ticket configuration, ticket sellers can refer to the event creator articles in the Evvnt help center.
Fees and Sales Tax
Ticket fees are applied automatically and include:
- An Evvnt service fee
- A credit card processing fee
These fees are set by Evvnt and cannot be modified at the site level. If your state or region requires it, you can configure a sales tax rate in your site settings that applies to ticket sales.
For specific use cases, additional fees — such as a venue fee — can be configured at the organization level. These are typically set up on a per-organization or per-event basis rather than enabled site-wide. See Site Settings and Customization for information on configuring sales tax.
