Overview
When your Evvnt ticketing site is created, an Evvnt team member builds the site and creates your initial Account Owner user. From there, you'll configure the essentials: your site's domain, contact email, and initial settings. This article covers what to expect during setup and the first configuration steps you'll take as a new site partner.
For a broader overview of managing your ticketing site, see Your Evvnt Ticketing Site.
What Evvnt Sets Up for You
Your Evvnt team contact will create your ticketing site and provide you with:
- A live site with a temporary URL at
your-brand.evvnt.com - An Account Owner login — you'll need to provide a name and email address for this initial user
The temporary subdomain is available immediately so you can begin configuring your site while your permanent domain is set up.
Setting Up Your Custom Domain
Your ticketing site should live on a domain that reflects your brand. The expected long-term setup is a subdomain on your existing domain:
tickets.yourdomain.com
Other supported domain formats include:
-
www.your-custom-tickets-domain.com— a dedicated tickets domain with a www prefix - An apex domain (e.g.
your-custom-tickets-domain.comwithout www) — supported if your DNS is managed through Cloudflare
To connect your domain, you'll need to create a DNS record pointing to Evvnt's servers. Your Evvnt team contact will provide the specific DNS configuration needed for your setup.
Tip: The temporary your-brand.evvnt.com subdomain is not intended as a permanent solution. Plan to have your custom domain configured before promoting your ticketing site publicly.
Contact Email Address
The contact email address in your site's settings controls two things:
- The "from" address on system notification emails sent to your team
- The "from" address on ticket confirmation emails sent to buyers
Set this to an address your audience will recognize — typically something like tickets@yourdomain.com or events@yourdomain.com. If you need to add additional email addresses for specific notification types, that's handled separately through user notification preferences.
Navigating the Admin Interface
Once logged in, the left-side navigation menu provides access to all site management features. The main areas include:
- Sites — your ticketing site list and site-level settings
- Organizations — manage the organizations selling tickets on your site
- Events — view and manage events across all organizations
- Reports — sales, payout, and organization management data
- Settings — site-wide configuration, branding, and account settings
Next Steps
Once your domain and contact email are configured, you'll want to:
- Customize your site's appearance and branding — see Site Settings and Customization
- Add team members — see Managing Users and Accounts
- Set up your first organization and event — see Organizations and Events
