Q: Why did this event not show up in the final version when it was in a previous version of the print edition?
A: The system will make choices about what events appear or not. Of the events that are available in a date range, we picked a sub-set of those automatically, and with each new version there may have been different choices made by the system. If you would ever need to expect an event be included each time then you should update its status in the "Manage Events" option. You can pick "Required for print" or at least "Preferred for print" to ensure it is consistent chosen by the system to appear in a print edition.
Q: How do I turn off the QR codes showing with featured events?
A: Go to the publication and select the "Print" option from the left side menu. Enter the "Configuration", then scroll down and select "Edit Page Setup". Use the check box to adjust the QR Code option. Uncheck the box to turn off the QR codes from appearing.
Print Error Codes
There are a few reasons why an automated print page may have errors when generating a new edition of the page. The most common is based on the amount of space on the page. An example of an error code in this case would be:
Layout failed to fit 1 required events, code 1
The issue in these cases is typically related to the number of featured events taking up more space than is available on your print page. The solution is to reduce the number of featured events expected to fit on the page.
Other print page errors may be related to a corrupted image or text data from outside events. This can be resolved by selecting the "Manage Events" option and fixing an erred image or text in a particular event. You can also find that event in the "Manage Events" area and then reject it from print.
