If you are being asked to manage your event submissions using the Evvnt calendar system, then you may have some of the following questions.
Overview of the Evvnt Calendar System
Evvnt calendars provide event hosts with the ability to send their events to multiple calendars in their area and beyond with a premium event upgrade, along with several other promotional items available. Our system has some unique functions that help facilitate these offers, and that means our calendars might work a little differently than some.
Some of the common questions and concerns are listed below. Don't see your question? Reach out by submitting a request from the option at the top of this article page.

Q: How do I get in to access my dashboard?
You will need to have an admin or editor user created for you. If you try to sign-up online then you will create a "promoter" user and will not be able to have a admin/editor user created for you. If a user has been created for you then you will have an email from noreply@evvnt.com with the subject "Confirmation Instructions".
Please reach out to TownNews customer service if you are expecting a user and have not seen a confirmation email. If you have an account created but are having additional options
Q: How do I reject these events I don't want?
You can reject any single event by logging in at app.evvnt.com and following one of the following methods:
- If there are just a few events you don't want on your calendar, then you can see here how to Reject an individual event
- If there are several events you want to remove then you can Bulk Reject events.
- If you want to stop events coming into your calendar from outside data sources then you can turn those sources off completely following instructions here: Manage data sources.
Q: How can I post an event to my calendar?
Our system is designed for event hosts to submit their own event details. You can send them to your calendar and they can use the "Promote Your Event" option to post for free. They will be presented with paid promotion options but there is always an option to post for free.
You can post events to your calendar as an admin/editor user, but some features may be limited. Notably, you will not be able to access any events saved as a draft, among other issues. It is advised that you create a "promoter" account for yourself using an alternate email address and posting directly from your calendar. More info and recommendations are here: Posting an event on my own calendar as an admin/editor user
Q: How can my users post for free?
Users who regularly used your calendar in the past will be able to post for free. Their first event submission will ask them to create a user with a valid email address. We have an entire support help desk for event creators and this article may be most helpful: Can I post for free?
Q: Where are all my old events?
We are working through data imports at this time (June 2021) and plan to have them posted as soon as possible. Once your data is imported the events will appear on your calendar.
Q: Why are there all these other events coming from?
Our calendars are designed to provide information to viewers of any and all event data from your area (set your publishing area here). Event data from outside sources is turned on by default and can be managed here. We encourage having this data on your calendar so that your audience see this as the one place for all the local events. Although, not all data is of equal value and so you have the ability to turn off data sources as you prefer.
