Congratulations! You have signed up for the Reverse Publishing to Print Automation Service. This means, once you set up your template/s - you'll be able to create your print calendars in 30 minutes or less! So let's get you started!
This can be done by an Admin or Editor for a publication.
A. STEPS TO CONFIGURE YOUR PRINT CALENDARS PAGE
STEP 1: Login > Select a Site > Navigate to the "Print tab" on the left column > Create a Print Publication.
STEP 2: Enter the basic details for the print page and select "Save Publication Details".
STEP 3: Set the publishing schedule by setting the first date, the schedule period, the lead time for the print deadline, and the number of days worth of events to include on the page.
STEP 4: Set up your page template (you'll have multiple template designs to choose from), configure the units and dimensions for the page and the margins. You have the option to enable/disable QR codes being generated for ticketed events. Learn more about our "QR to Print" feature.
STEP 5: Add artwork for the logo, ad, promo, and adbar items you want included.
STEP 6: Configuration is complete! Now you can select "All Editions" to preview current or future editions.
B. GENERATING THE FINAL DRAFTS
STEP 1: Start by selecting the "All Editions" button from the configured print page (see above). Click the icon to manage the edition.
STEP 2: From here you will be able to create a manual draft.
You can manage the events in your page and choose which should be featured (pick events with nice images as they will be printed). Feel free to experiment with the options and eventually find the look and feel that you want to finalize your print pages.
We recommend prioritizing the following order:
- Featured Events (10)- If no one has upgraded online you will need to add your own featured selections. The images will be printed, so select events that have the best images.
- Editors Pick (5) - Select the events that have "catchy" titles to draw the readers' attention.
- Editors Voice (1) - Adding an editorial touch will make the print calendar more appealing to the reader.
When you select "Finalize", an email will be sent with a link to download the finalized PDF page(s).
