Featuring an event is a permission left to portal-level users, meaning an event creator cannot feature their own event on your portal site. Featuring events is a great way to visually represent some of your best events at the top of your ticketing page. You must be acting as the portal user (not as an organization) to see the stars. Read more about navigating the system as a Portal user here.
- Log in as a Portal User.
- Navigate to your Events list and search or filter to find an event to feature.
- Click on the star next to the event (if there is no star then the event has no "Featured Image").
When the star icon is selected, the event will appear in the featured event slider at the top of your ticketing home page.
If the star icon is not displaying for an event in the list, this means there is no Featured Image uploaded to the event. You can edit the event and add a featured image in the Event Basics section.
Featuring Recurring Events
Featuring a recurring event series will feature the event's parent page. If you would like to feature individual dates for a recurring event, you will need to access the event's edit page. On the edit page for an event, you will notice star icons for each individual date that may be toggled on or off.
