Featuring an event is a permission available to portal users. An event creator cannot feature their own event on your portal site. Featuring events is a great way to visually represent important events and move them to top of your ticketing page.
How to Mark an Event as Featured
On the event dashboard, you can click the 3-dots menu to see the featured option. If the event is featured it will show a label above the event title.
If the "Feature" option does not appear then the event may not have a featured image. To add a featured image, click on "Edit" to edit the event. From the edit page, expand the "Event Basics" section and add a "Featured Image" to the event. Be sure to scroll down and save the section if an image is added.
On the edit page for the event, you will see a Star icon that can also be used to toggle the event's status as featured or unfeatured.
When the star icon is selected, the event will appear in the featured event slider at the top of your ticketing home page.
If the star icon is not displaying for an event in the list, this means there is no Featured Image uploaded to the event. You can edit the event and add a featured image in the Event Basics section.
Featuring Recurring Events
Featuring a recurring event series will feature the event's parent page. If you would like to feature individual dates for a recurring event, you will need to access the event's edit page. On the edit page for an event, you will notice star icons for each individual date that may be toggled on or off.
