Hosting and selling tickets for your own local event is a great way to showcase your ticket selling site. Events are boosts for community engagement, brand visibility, and revenue growth. We have several examples of successful "owned and operated" ticketed events with our partners!
Here's how you can get started!
1. Creating an Organization
Sign Up and Log In
Portal owners need to create an organization within the Evvnt platform to manage events. This organization will be the hub for all event-related activities. Navigate to the Evvnt portal and log in with your credentials.
Set Up Your Organization
After logging in, set up your organization (see how to Add an Organization") by entering necessary details like the organization’s name, contact information, and user email.
2. Creating an Event
Basic Event Information
Once your organization is set up, start by creating an event. Navigate to the “Events” section and click the “+” button. Enter essential details like the event name, date, venue, and description. You can also upload images and choose the visibility settings for the event (public or private). It is best to start as "private" so you can review the event setup for the first time, then make it public when you are ready to "Go Live"!
Ticketing Setup
Define the ticket categories such as General Admission, VIP, etc. within the event settings. Each category can have multiple price points.Next, determine the ticket prices and specify the sale start and end dates. Advanced settings allow for early bird pricing and restricted tickets that can be sold only by box office staff.
Managing Event Details
Use the Event Dashboard to monitor ticket sales and event data. This dashboard provides detailed reports on ticket sales, customer data, and event performance.
3. Onsite Event Management
During the event, use the Evvnt Mobile Box Office app to scan tickets and manage on-site sales. The app allows for efficient check-ins and real-time updates on ticket sales and attendance.
